Weekly Memberships

Terms & Conditions

By signing up to this membership, you agree to the following terms. This contract is between the member ("customer") and Movement Pilates Ltd (“Movement Pilates“).

12 WEEK MINIMUM TERM
New Memberships are subject to a minimum 12 week term contract after which, cancellation can be arranged anytime in writing. This minimum term does not include any pause periods. Memberships can be upgraded/downgraded within the 12 week term. The customer acknowledges that all memberships will auto-renew at the expiry of the term. If the customer does not wish to auto-renew their membership & wishes to cancel their membership at the end of the 12 week term, they must email info@movementpilates.co.nz 2 weeks in advance

MEMBERSHIP FORTNIGHTLY PAYMENT
The customer agrees to pay the below membership price, applicable to their selected membership: 

​

1x Week Membership: $29/week ($58/fortnight)
2x Week Membership: $54/week ($108/fortnight)
3x Week Membership: $75/week ($150/fortnight)
4x Week Membership: $90/week ($180/fortnight)

All Memberships operate on a 14 day direct debit schedule via Momence & Stripe (a secure payment system). Payment will be taken within 24 hours of the chosen date. If the date falls on a weekend or a public holiday the time period may be within 24 hours from the start of the next business day. Payment will continue unless notified of a cancellation request in writing (see policy below). All credits are allocated over that fortnight, and must be used within that fortnight. It is the members responsibility to know their billing cycle dates and therefore book their membership class credits within these dates. This information can be found in the ‘Account/My Membership’ section on the Movement Pilates App.

 

The customers Membership cycle will be activated at the time of purchase. This is when the first fortnightly payment will be deducted. To request a specific date/time for activation (ie 6am Monday), please email Shannon info@movementpilates.co.nz.

 

AVAILABLE CREDITS 
All 1x week membership options give the customer access to up to 2 classes over the members specific fortnightly billing period. If the customer does not use the allocated 2 classes during the fortnight, these credits will expire and cannot be used in subsequent weeks. 

 

All 2x week membership options give the customer access to up to 4 classes over the members specific fortnightly billing period. If the customer does not use the allocated 4 classes during the fortnight, these credits will expire and cannot be used in subsequent weeks. 

 

All 3x week membership options give the customer access to up to 6 classes over the members specific fortnightly billing period. If the customer does not use the allocated 6 classes during the fortnight, these credits will expire and cannot be used in subsequent weeks. 

 

All 4x week membership options give the customer access to up to 8 classes over the members specific fortnightly billing period. If the customer does not use the allocated 8 classes during the fortnight, these credits will expire and cannot be used in subsequent weeks. 

 

The customer will not be refunded under any membership option for not using their weekly allocated classes. 

 

BONUS CLASSES DURING A MEMBERSHIP CYCLE
If a customer wishes to book into and attend classes additional to those in the payment cycle they will be able to purchase additional casual class passes at a reduced rate of $29 per class for 1x week members, $27 per class for 2x members, $25 per class for 3x members or $22.50 for 4x members. 

This pricing will automatically apply at check out when the customer is logged in to the account associated with the membership. The additional credit will be valid as per the terms of a single casual credit (1 month from date of purchase). Customers may not purchase additional credits at this reduced rate for any individual other than themselves. 

 

REFUNDS & EXTENSIONS
Credits are not transferable to another individual and cannot be used by another person. If someone other than the person booked into the class arrives to use the credit, they will be asked to create an account and purchase their own classes or membership. The customer acknowledges and agree that passes are not refundable, extendable, or transferable unless otherwise agreed by Movement Pilates.

 

MEMBERSHIP PAUSES
Movement Pilates does not offer open-ended pauses. The customer has the option to pause their membership for up to 8 weeks over a 1 year period. For longer freezes, there is a small admin fee of $10 per week (paid upfront). At least 1 week notice is required to ensure payments can be paused in time. Request via email info@movementpilates.co.nz with exact start/end dates. After this date, the client's payment plan will continue as per their payment plan schedule. Customers will not have access to any bookings or facilities whilst the pause is in place. Note: social media or text communications are not a valid method of pausing membership. 

 

FAILED PAYMENTS
The client agrees to pay all applicable fees by the due date. If a payment fails on the first attempt, our provider Momence will attempt to take the payment 3 more times over the coming days making it 4 attempts in total to take payment. 

 

1st Re-run: 1 day after failed payment
2nd re-run: 2 days after previous re-run
3rd re-run: 2 days after previous re-run

 

The customer will receive automated emails following every failed payment. It is the customers responsibility to ensure there is sufficient funds for the payment to be resolved immediately. Any fees our provider passes on to us related to failed payments will be charged on to the customer. A $5 dishonour fee will be charged by Stripe & passed on to the customer – this cannot be refunded. 

 

CANCELLING MEMBERSHIP
Memberships have a 12 week minimum term (unless otherwise specified). If a customer wishes to cancel prior to completing the minimum term, the customer will be required to give 2 weeks notice & charged a $100 cancellation fee. Please email request to info@movementpilates.co.nz. In the case of injury/illness that prevents studio attendance, immediate cancellation is allowed. Cancellation will take effect from the date we receive written confirmation from a medical doctor. Movement Pilates may cancel a membership without notice for inappropriate, offensive or illegal behaviour, as determined by us, which occurs on our premises or is directed at our staff or other members.

CHANGES IN MEMBERSHIP FEES
Membership fees and other fees are reviewed periodically. Movement Pilates may amend these Terms and Conditions at any time by written notice published on their website, operable from the date specified. The customer will be given 14 days' notice of any changes to the members email provided.

 

BOOKINGS
Class bookings are essential and must be made through the Movement Pilates App, Momence App or Movement Pilates Website.

 

WAITLISTS
If a class is fully booked, customers are able to sign up to the waitlist and if any cancellations may occur, they will be notified via text/email up to an hour before the class starts. If the customer adds themselves to the waitlist, they are committing to attend that class should a spot open up. Cancellation & No-Show policy applies. Customers must remove themselves from the waitlist if they no longer wish to attend, this allows the next person in line to be moved up.

CLASS CANCELLING OR RESCHEDULING
Our 9 hour cancellation policy is in place so all members have the chance to attend classes. You can cancel or reschedule a class the same way you booked in (Movement Pilates App, Momence App or Website). We can't accept cancellations/changes via email, phone or social media as these channels are not constantly monitored. 


Early Cancel - Cancellations made more than 9 hours before class will get the pass back.
Late Cancel - Cancellations made less than 9 hours before class with forfeit the pass
No Show - Not showing up to class will forfeit the pass & incur a $10 fee.

 

MINIMUM NUMBERS
Movement Pilates reserves the right to cancel classes with minimum numbers booked in. You will be contacted via text 2 hours prior to the start of class should it need to be cancelled and your pass returned.
