M&B Yoga Teacher
Hey everyone, I’m so excited to be teaching Mums & Bubs Yoga at Movement! I’m a mum of a 2 year old girl so I understand how hard it can be to get back into exercise for new mums who put all their energy into looking after their baby. Our class will be a great way to reenergise, while working on regaining strength and flexibility in a gentle way. It’s so nice to be able to do something for yourself, while being able to have baby there with you.
Back when I had a lot more “me time” (and a lot more uninterrupted sleeps) I completed my 200hr YTT in Krabi, Thailand in 2016 after a few years of practising yoga. My training specialised in hatha yoga, which encompasses yoga styles like vinyasa and yin, and included healing practices such as reiki. I taught yoga in Phuket after my course then when I moved back to Auckland I taught in various gyms and studios right up until a week or two before I gave birth in 2018.
What really started my love for yoga all those years ago, was that it was a time for me to really let go of everything going on in my life, enjoying the present moment, and feeling free in my body, which is always relevant no matter what life stage you’re at. Having this beautiful, welcoming space at Movement to relax and reset every week will be so beneficial for your wellbeing and something to look forward to. Wherever you’re at on your journey I look forward to helping you feel like “you” again. I can’t wait to meet you and your babies! Izzy X
